I was almost done with a lengthy video compilation and realized I forgot to add something in the middle. I tried highlighting everything and grouping it together and moving it, but it would not let me select “create new group”. Moving everything manually would be very time consuming, is there some tool that lets you add a predetermined length of time or delete a certain empty timeslot without manually moving everything?

    Yes there is:

    1. Position your cursor to the place on the timeline that you want to insert time
    2. Select any Track (i.e., click the header strip on the left)
    3. Press Ctrl+A to select all tracks
    4. Select the menu item Insert | Time…
    5. Enter the amount of time you want to insert and click OK

This should insert the amount of time you specified at the current cursor position on all tracks.

Thank you. That did the trick… Now if I put too much time when it’s all said and done, will it work in reverse to delete a certain amount of time?
