Hi – can anyone tell me how I would add text on a solid strip banner background (doco or news style) across the bottom of a video clip? Cheers – Phil

Take a generated media OR make something of your own in say photoshop-bring it in on a track above the video track resized and reposition it with pan/crop. Then on another track above that use a text media with a transparent background size and position the text to fit an bingo! instant lower thirds with text. BTW you can also make the text crawl from right to left togive it a real newsy look.

Vol 2 #10 of my newsletters has a “Creating Lower Thirds” article.
