I like the stroke effect in AE, but I want to add a little thickness on one end, to emulate a real penstroke. The stroke as it is is consistantly one thickness. Is this possible with a plug-in or anything?

    Use Trapcodes 3D Stroke.

Yepp, use 3DStroke. It has a pretty flexible tapering option.
