I am working on a timeline of almost all HD/hdv 1280×720 ntsc 30fps….want to add sills to it…. the photos were taken with an Olympus and are all about 1mb each… image size is 2560×1920…. i dropped one onto the timeline to test…it plays back ok ..ie. you can see it..but its a bit blurry…do i simply need to resize to 1280x 720?
    thanks !!

A photo editor will always do a better job at resizing than a video editor. Having said that, Vegas does a pretty good job with photos and i never resize any photos when working with Vegas. Your photos, however, are 5MP each and 720HD is barely 1MP so you are asking Vegas so make them 5x smaller. That’s a lot to ask. I would resize them in a photo editor to get the best results.

Also remember to change your Vegas preview to Best(Full) to see what the photo will really look like. Then when you render, remember to render at Best(Full) to get the most accurate scaling.

If you plan to pan or zoom into the photos to give them a little motion, I would make them 2x the output resolution. Otherwise make the equal to the output resolution.
