Adding spin (rotation) to 2D object
I am working on a composition, adding some parallax to a still image and what not, and I am trying to figure out the best way to add spin (rotation) to the frisbee.

I dont’t think there is a possible way of rotating the frisbee, because the original object is captured from side ways, so rotating it may result as rotating an orbit. You can try to make a similar texture in circular shape in Photoshop, and then import it as a 3D layer and rotate it to correspond, then you can animate the rotation on Y-axis.

Yeah, Dave, I decided to redirect my efforts and just model one in Blender.

However you model it, you could import it into AE pretty easily since After Effects comes with Cinema 4D for free now. 🙂
Alternatively (and much faster for rendering), you could use the third-party Element 3d effect to put it in your scene.
