  • Adding photo into mask layer

I have a pre-made menu for Encore. The menu has a place on the menu, to place a picture. I believe it is called a mask layer. I need to know how to place a picture in between that layer, so it shows up on the menu. The hole on the menu is oval shaped and feathered. I know a little about photoshop, but not that much. I tried adding it to the layers, but no go.

In Photoshop, you could click on the chain link, on the existing masked layer, to unlink the mask from the existing layer.
Than, you could drag the Layer Mask Thumbnail onto your desired layer – your pasted image.

Yes, the files are inside the computer. If I pull up a picture in photoshop while the menu is also there, I can unlock the mask layer and drop it on the picture?

Yes, unlock the mask once the new picture has been added to the menu file.
Position the new picture’s layer above the original picture.
Drag the mask from the original image onto your new image.
Copy the layer name of the original image and paste it into the layer of the new image, and delete the original. Encore needs the layers to be named properly.
