When you play a modern movie you usually get the option of which language or subtitle etc.
I have some video that has it’s audio but not necessarily what I want now. I use Studio 9 Platnium Pro pack. What I want to do is have the option of playing the original sound track or the second a second audio which would be my narrative or perhaps a music track. Maybe this is done with Architect. Can this version do it or do I have to go to a pro version.

That needs to be done on DVD Architect and I’m not sure if DVD Architect Studio can do this. See if it will allow you to add another audio track to the DVD.

Vegas can add a second track of course but I can’t find how in the final production have the viewer select which one they want. I would certainly think that a pro version would offer this option as this is pretty much standard option in new movies on DVD

    Hope to see you

That would as John said, need to be done in DVDA. Unrelated but your audio track is recorded way to hot, looks like a square wave. If this is from your camera, does it have a mic attinuation option to turn down the audio level recorded?

this is not the audio I am referring to. It came from several different sources at different levels. Picking which track to listen to isn’t the most important thing at the moment like you can on a commercial DVD. It would be nice to have available because when I transferred the old 8mm to video our comments were on the tape but a narrative is needed so as not to delete the original audio. I can work around this problem if Architect doesn’t do it. Like adding comment in the silent portion. Strange though it seems to me that this isn’t a fairly common request.

If all you want to do is add a narrative to video then you can certainly record this on a separate track in Movie Studio. Nothing is stopping you from doing that. DVD Architect Studio just doesn’t allow multiple alternate audio tracks. That’s a Pro feature.

Yes I know I can add multiple tracks but that is not what I would wanted to do. Sony is trying to sell me an upgrade to Pro for $300 No thanks I will just muddle along. Have a nice day.
