My sequence setting are ProRes 422 1920×1080 30 p. I want to use a stock clip that is:

    MPEG-2
    30 fps
    640×480
    Pixel Aspect = sqaure
    Data rate 766.1 k/sec

What is the best way to add this my time line. I was thinking about coverting with MpegStreamclip at ProRes 1920×1080 i but I think the image would be blown up so much it would lose resolution.

    Any thoughts?

I would convert it with Streamclip to uncompressed at 720×486 at 29.97 and then use third party up rez software to make it ProRes HD. There are a number of good one’s on the market. Try google.

    All the best,

    Tom
