I am trying to add two buttons to an HTML page (one quicktime one windows media) to show a movie clip. I use Go Live and they have icons to drop on to the page but they imbed the movie. I would like it to just link to the buttons and open in a new window or the respective players.

    hello…

can’t answer your question specific to golive, but this is an old example i had used for another question:

it has a link to a popup with a movie, which is sorta what you’re looking to do – feel free to swipe the html from this!

You say you are using GoLive… I am curious how you get both the QT and WMV option for your movies?

I ended up not getting windows media player to work. I just used QT figuring most windows users have it and Mac people don’t get a choice.
I am sure it can be coded but I am not a coder, I know my HTML and a we bit of Flash. That is all.
