Sounds like you aren’t using a full 64 bit OS, or you’re not using the 64 bit version of Cinema. I’m a PC guy so I can’t be more specific than that….

Your MacBook Pro should be able to run in 64-bit Kernel Extensions…
Open the System Profiler / select Software / 64-bit Kernel Extensions might say No ?
To switch into 64 bit / Restart and hold down the 6 and 4 keys until you see the apple logo.
Check System Profiler again / 64-bit Kernel Extensions should say Yes ?
Next time you restart without holding down the 6 and 4 keys you’ll be back in 32-bit…

In your Application folder select the Cinema 4D.app / Get Info.
Make sure that open in 32-bit mode is unchecked.

    Regards
    Nolan

    Hi,

Sorry to be a pain. I know this was posted years ago but what do you mean by “system profiler”?

    Thanks,

    Luke.

Hey, Ignore that. I was being dumb! Still can’t get it to use more RAM :/

    Thanks,

    Luke.
