Adding Metadata in Bridge and Premiere
I have a question regarding metadata in Adobe Premiere and Bridge. I used Adobe Bridge CS6 to add medadata to some footage (mov files made with Canon 5d MKII) I took in a museum. I entered the metadata under the IPTC Core heading. So for each clip I have metadata in the categories for ‘title’, ‘description’ and ‘keywords’. I then imported that footage into my Adobe Premiere Project but unfortunately I cannot find any of that metadata except for ‘description’. It seems that Premiere does not use IPTC Core?
I know I can use Prelude but Bridge seems to be a better project for what I am doing. I would like to use Lightroom but, as I understand it, Lightroom does not actually add the metadata to the file but keeps it stored in the catalog. This seems like a disadvantage?
I am planning to archive a lot of footage in the years to come and need to find a robust way to do this. It is important that the information I add to the file can be read by Premiere or another editor. Any suggestions? Thanks.
