adding logo in fcp
I’m trying to put a logo in my videos. So far i’ve had MPegStreamclip put in a watermark, buth thats just letters. I have a .png on a piece of white background, how can I save that in order to access it everytime I make a new video? Same goes for a title strip I’ve made. Is it OK to just save it as a .mov file and import it every time or is there a better way? Thnks.

You need to put the logo on a transparent background. Take it into Photoshop, copy it onto a new transparent document…erase everything around the logo you don’t want to see (so like the white background it is on, for example)…and then save that as a Photoshop doc. Might be able to retain transparency if you save as a PNG as well. then bring that into FCP…the transparency should be retained. Then resize and move it to where you want it to go…and posibly make it semi transparent…
