  • Adding line to a moving dot in After Effects

    Hi.
I’ve been trying to make a figure in After Effects with moving dots where every dot is followed by a line that goes
    very thin at the end.
Does anyone knows if thats doable with expression o trapcode? or how to do it?
Here’s a screenshot of a video that i saw on the internet that exemplifies what i’m talking about whith adding those lines.

    Help very much appreciated

    thanks for your answer.

I tried with the write-on effect but i have a comment. As time goes by in the timeline. The ending part of the line goes thicker to reach the size of the beginning part. Is there a solution to keep the beginning wider and the ending thinner?
Or that’s the reason that you said is not what i want?
    Thank you again.

the way to make Write-on change the brush size through time is to change time properties toggle to “size”
