  • Adding Lighting Truck to insurance?

Posted by Roy Schneider on August 7, 2012 at 12:11 am

Hi All: It has been a while since I have done a big scale shoot outside my Full-time job. I am doing a music Video shoot and the Gaffer/Lighting company has asked to be added on my insurance for the shoot. Is this a common request. I have been asked for proof of insurance before, but not to add another company on.

    Thanks
    Roy

Where I work, it’s common. We did a shoot in Beverly Hills and the city demanded they be listed as an additional insured on our policy. Our agent was able to do this no problem in less than 24 hours.

    Hope that helps,

Extremely common here, too and usually handled by your insurance agent within a day or two. No big deal to have the rental company named
