Hi, I have Vegas 9 platinum. When I have clips on a time line and want to add a new clip to the beginning of the time line. how do I accomplish that without having to slide each clip one by one to the right, to make room for the new clip? its a long process when I have a new clip I want to put in my project, and I have to slide all the clips to the right to make room. I’m sure there is a easier way. Thanks in advance

Try select all and move them to the right.
Personally I use Excalibur for this purpose.

Excalibur is a scripting software and is accessible within Vegas Pro. Platinum doesn’t do Application scripting. Useful Comparison Chart here: https://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/vegaspro/compare

However, also do try “Auto Ripple“. It’s up there on the Toolbar.

1] Click on “Auto Ripple” Icon Down Arrow and select the option you want

2] Click ON – you have to do that too!

3] Go to the very first Event and just drag right

    . . or . .

4] Having “Auto Ripple” engaged, just drag new Media to the front of the queue and the stuff on its right will nudge right to accommodate the exact correct space needed for the new Media, now Event, too – done!

Once used DO remember to click it off again!

    Grazie
