I got a quick question…everytime I add keyframes to a text / image on final cut 7, it messes up the quality and crispiness of the edges and it looks blury but then once the text reaches the last key frame and it stops moving, the text / image turns sharp again…I know its not my playback settings because I exported a test and it looked just as bad as it did on my timeline 🙁 how can I resolve this?

    Hi Ju,
You are not editing in DV or so, don’t you?
Try setting your k-frames with” “x and “y” integer values.
    Fractions complicates rendering.

Solved this problem just now. I had the same thing, text over images in an Apple Pro Res 422 1080p Sequence, but the text didn’t render correctly, it played back but was all blurry. Then I looked in the Sequence Menu-> Render Only-> Preview (then the render bar above the desired part of the sequence goes from light green to purple).

FCP doesn’t render this automatically by default because it already plays back, and video would look fine in a Preview mode.
