Adding hyperlink to a video (flv) made in Premiere Pro

Hey Chris –
As best I could tell, you’re not able to do that with an flv (though I think you can do it with a QuickTime movie if that works for you – didn’t work for me since I wanted to use other features of flash/flv integration) Please post back if you find out otherwise and good luck with your work.

I’ve been trying to do it in a quicktime movie. I basically want people to click on a few items at the end of a product video. I’ve read everything from being able to create flash to using keynote to create this.I finally found this. I just downloaded the trial program, I’m going to open it in a few minutes and try it out. https://www.techsmith.com/camtasia.html

Doesn’t have that hotspot feature for the MAC version. Bummer.

The hot spot can be created using a second layer of video that is the size of the hotspot that you want it. I tested Camtasia. The exported file with hyperlink is resulted in Flash format (SWF plus FLV) accommodated with an HTML and other scripts, css, and skins.

I have looked into this for the company I work for, and have found it is actually done in YouTube when the video is uploaded. Almost anything can be used as a link in a video… logo to your website or Microsite, video to another video, logo to YouTube page, photo to the Flickr url… endless possibilities. Of course, you’d want to control the number of links in a video.
This is annotation is done when you upload the video to YouTube. You would then make the decision as to what is linked, to what url, and the duration, as seen in these videos below:
