I have vegas 7. I need to have a text scroll going right to left at the bottom of the screen while video is playing. Kind of like the news scrolls at the bottom of the screen on the news stations. Ideas? Thanks.

To do a crawl, place the text in a Generated Text Media event all on one line and position it at the bottom. Then use Pan/Crop to move it from one end to the other using two keyframes.

After creating your text on a single line, switch to the “Placement” tab.
Move your text to the far right side of the screen and create a keyframe.
Now move your text box timeline cursor to the end, create a new keyframe and move the text to the far left side of the screen.
    Adjust event length accordingly.

Mike…it doesn’t seem to want to set key frames on the generated media to make it scroll. I know how to set them on a normal clip, but it doesn’t seem to work the same with generated media. could you do step by step? Thanks.
