  • Adding Geometry to Particles

Posted by Randal Jones on June 22, 2009 at 10:30 pm

    Hey guys,

I am new to C4D and I am playing around with the particles and all. Now when it comes down to this tutorial (https://www.maxoncomputer.com/tutorial_detail.asp?tutorialID=244)
I followed everything and the tornado of mine is great; but,how do I add some geometry to the particle system so it renders out to be a tornado instead of being blank? The emitters isn’t just a regular emitter where I can add geometry via child and it renders; it is dealing with expressions. Any tips, would be nice!

    Thanks.

check out the TP Standard Emitter in the Content Browser (assuming you loaded in the TP stuff) you need to feed the particle feed from you PStorm or PBorn node (don’t know which is used in the Tornado tute) into a PShape node, to assign the the object to use and a PGroup node which really only needs to be connected as the default All group is good enough for simple things. And you need a Particle Geometry object in the from Objects/Thinking Particles.
