  • Adding Fade Up and Fade Out Within Compressor?

Posted by Jason Connolly on February 7, 2007 at 8:17 pm

    Hi all-

I have a bunch of videos that I need to compress for the web, but my client only wants the first 30 seconds of each video. Is there a way in compressor to set fade ins and outs? Or do I have to render all of the fades in FCP first, and then go to Compressor?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Have you tried sorensen squeeze instead. With that you can convert to several formats, cut down the movie and give it the fades in/out.

    Hi grafxflow-
Thanks, and yes, I have Sorenson Squeeze 4.3, but I’ll be damned if I can’t figure out where you can add fadeins/outs?? Can you enlighten me?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Just double click on any of the filters (i.e. darken) and a window will open. At the bottom will be the options to fade video/audio at the start and end.
