I neeed to add a ‘extra folder to a DVD of a wedding that was made many years ago. The video is 40 minutes long & doesn’t even have chapters set. I don’t want to re render file because the quality of the file is attrocious. I know that I can import the old VOB files from the DVD into Vegas & then send it to DVDA where the extra folder can be added.

Does this invold a re render or not?

Would adding chapter markers cause a re render?

Do any other programs allow for the inclusion of extra’s before the DVD is burned, fD
    or example Nero or VideoReDo?

    Thanks in advance

[Paul Gregory] “Does this invold a re render or not? “

If you are just adding a folder to the disc, why not just copy the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders to a folder on your hard drive, add your new folder with extras, and then burn the entire thing back to DVD without ever touching the video?

If you want to add chapters that’s won’t require a re-render. You would have to convert the VOB files back to MPEG-2 and add them back to a DVD Architect project and add the chapters in DVD Architect. It should just reuse the MPEG2 files without rendering.
