  • Adding Clip Markers in timeline

When I elect to view a clip in the project [“open in timeline”] I am able to add markers, but these markers do not appear, nor are they visible with the arrow next to a clip in the browser which indicates more information is available…

why don’t markers set in the project timeline appear in the clip back in the browser… just to be clear – i am not dragging the clip to a project timeline – I am right-clicking and selecting “open in timeline” while viewing the clip in the browser.

    thanks

Going from clip to timeline is a one-way trip. You can add markers on a clip directly in the Event Browser (navigating with the skimmer and adding markers), which will carry forward into a timeline, but not the other way. That’s just how it is (for now).

Yep… don’t see any reason to add markers on the inside of a clip. Add all the markers you want to the outside.

If you start adding things like b-roll to the inside of a clip, it gets promoted to a compound clip, with all that entails.

    Good luck.
