Adding buttons for email, websites and pdf on DVD
Posted by Videosyncracies on December 6, 2005 at 5:34 pmWhat DVD authoring software do people use to add buttons to a menu which will open up an email, or go to a website or open a pdf document?
Tried Sonic DVDit Pro 6 with eDVD and couldn’t do it. Any other suggestions?
Thanks

Thanks for the reply.
Three of us have been banging our heads against the wall for a couple days trying to get DVDit Pro 6 and eDVD to do what we want – but we cannot figure out how.
We have authored a DVD in DVDit with 30 short video clips, a main menu leading to seven other menus. On one menu we want to have buttons for email, website and pdf. In eDVD we open the project and only the video clips are shown in the list, not the menus or buttons.
How can we link the email, website and pdf to buttons on a menu?
Thanks

December 6, 2005 at 8:30 pmHere is a review / tutorial I wrote to illustrate how eDVD works. It’s very basic, but give it a read, and then see if this all makes more sense to you. If not, just write back to me and we’ll go from there.

We have figured it out…you can only add weblinks to titles or slideshows, and we were trying to do it from menus. We used 3 buttons and linked each to its own slideshow, then went into eDVD and prompted the weblinks for each slideshow….that worked well.
