Adding Blue Matte after Color Grading
I am color grading my footage with the vectorscope and my skinetones are on the 10 o’clock line looking good.
When I am done with my sequence I add a Blue Matte, Soft Light, 15% to give it a filmic look.
When the blue is added it looks great but shifts the skintones off the 10 o’clock line in the vectorscope.
Is this a bad thing?

It’s not “bad” in a sense that it’s not an unrealistic shift. You can get a more polished look, or get an audience to accept a more stylized look if you pin the skintones to that 10 o’clock area (it’s actually a pretty narrow band).
The problem with basic tools is you’ll find they’re pretty inflexible when it comes to doing stuff like this.
Grab Colorista Lite/Free and you could try, before your blue matte, to shift the hues of the skintone in anticipation of the blue matte; basically a compensation.
You might also want to use curves or (if Premiere has it) the channel mixer to take blue out of the shadows and decontaminate that a little bit.

I had a better time using Colorista vs. Fast Color corrector, but really did back flips with Mojo.
