  Adding animations

  I use Vegas for creating (amongst other things) short YouTube instructional videos. I’d like to begin adding animations to these videos to go alongside presenters (filmed on green screen).

  The kind of thing I’m after is having an item “drop” into the frame and move about. Then maybe lines being drawn and handwriting appear. Fairly simple stuff in animation terms, in other words.

  Imagine, for example, a horizontal line being drawn (with a scratching sound) then a vertical then a squiggle on that and then a picture of a handheld pen coming in and drawing a circle around the middle. That kind of stuff.

  I know I can use Vegas to do simple movement using event pan/crop, but I’m wondering if there’s a more comprehensive animation package I can use which can then be imported into the Vegas timeline.

  I’m at the stage of looking at different options here so any suggestions would be welcome!
