    hi:

    I have several animations with alpha and i want to add a slight white outline to the border.

    how do i do that?

    it has to use the alpha to do that.

    Hi, here’s a few ideas..

    Try adding the Effect ‘Matte choker’ to a duplicate underneath your original layer. play with the settings. To get it white add a HSL effect.

    If you have CS3 or higher you could try right clicking the layer and selecting ‘layer sytle’ then ‘outer glow’.

    I found that the vegas effect can do the trick too but it is giving me strange artifacts. I apply it to a 3d layer inside 2 precomps.
