Adding an effect to a part of the screen.
Posted by Alfred Hammer on July 19, 2011 at 1:28 pmI’d like to add a CC vector blur to the middle of the screen for a few seconds through a video. How can I do this? Thanks in advance.

July 19, 2011 at 2:54 pmMany ways to do stuff like this. One way is to put a mask on an adjustment layer with the effect applied to it.

July 19, 2011 at 2:54 pmIf the effect is applied to an adjustment layer above you can make a mask above your footage using the mask tool to section off an area. Then you could add some feather to it so it has a smooth drop off unless you want sharp edge on the edge of the mask.
Hope this helps,
Greg
