Activity Forums Adobe Encore DVD Adding a website link

I’m revamping my wedding demo. How, or is it possible, to make a link to my website in Encore?

I thought I read in the Adobe forums that you can’t make a hyperlink with a button.

I assume I would need to make a hyperlink in the DVD-ROM section, but what are the steps of this? The manual is very slim on this part.

I’m using Encore 1.5.1 for reference.

    Any thoughts are always appreciated.

With Encore you can add material that doesn’t belong to the DVD-Video part of the disc as “DVD-ROM” content, but you can’t link to it from DVD menus. (You could add the material plus a title/menu screen that instructs the viewer which extras there are and how to access them.)

To create weblinks or links to images or pdf files, you can use Sonic eDVD3 which is used as an add-on to Encore. Fortunately Sonic has recently dropped to price from $899 to $599 to… $199. 🙂

To get an idea how eDVD works, please have a look at Alex Alexzander’s Sonic eDVD 3 Enhanced DVD Authoring Review and Tutorial.

You can download a trial version from the Sonic website (link in my previous post).
