  • Adding a Third Client Monitor when A/V Output is Not Found

Posted by Johnny Five on May 14, 2014 at 8:51 pm

    Hello,
I want to add a third monitor to my Mac Pro 2×2.4GHz 6-core Intel Xeon as a client “playback” only monitor. I have both Thunderbolt to VGA on my Primary and secondary monitors. I have the third slot (DVI to HDMI) going to the larger client monitor. I have connectivity to all three monitors but when I go into FCP X Pref’s or FCP Window the A/V Output is “Not Found or greyed out.

I would like to have the third monitor play only the playback if I could. Am I missing a third party hardware to do this or am I missing something here. I would even settle with mirroring the secondary monitor with the third if I could.

    You answers are much appreciated

So after reading some threads. Do I need to but the BM Mini Monitor or something like that so FCP X can read an extra AV Output?
