    Hi, guys.

C4D n00b here. I have used the software several times for small projects but I have never dealt with this in particular before.

I imported an Illustrator file of my company’s logo. Then I Extruded NURBS and created a material. I’m all good to go, I just can’t get the material to affect the front face of the object, aka the polygon side facing the camera.

I found a tutorial online that said to mesh all the paths together by right-clicking and choosing “Connect,” but that option doesn’t seem to exist. It’s not an old tutorial. I am using C4D Lite, however, because it comes with After Effects CC.

Another thing I tried was selecting all the paths, right-clicking, and choosing “make editable.” It made it so now I can select specific polygons with the polygon selection tool, but I STILL can’t select just the front face.

    Help please!

    Thanks,

Never mind, haha. Figured it out mere seconds later.

For anyone having the same issue, right click the black-and-white checkered box next to a path and choose “Unfold All,” then you can select the cap and use the polygon selection tool to select and material-ize that face.
