  • Adding 5D footage to Multi-Clip group

    Hi,

I am working on a multi-cam project with 5 cameras, one of which is a Canon 5D. All the cameras have time of day code, except of course, the 5D.

Is there any way to group the time of day cameras, then separately add the 5D camera using in points to sync, or some other clever alternative (rather than having to go through each camera and syncing by in points).

Also, the rather helpful 5D camera op has decided to turn his camera on and off throughout songs as he repositions his shot. Is there any way to add all his clips to one song group (i.e. the rest of the cameras in one continuous group and the 5D coming in and out of the group as the camera op turns his camera on and off).

    Much obliged for any help.
    Duncan

You could use PluralEyes with your 5D material on separate time line (audio and video) to sync it to other cameras by matching the audio waveforms.

Once synced just set in and points or delete shots from the 5D.

thanks for that. I’ll look into it.
