    Hi,
I have a clip (dv 720×480, .9 pix ratio) and am placing a photoshop file with an alpha layer over it. I sized it in photoshp to 720×480, but says 1.0 pixel ratio in premiere. When I place it over the vid clip it looks like what I want . However when I export as movie, and play it back on a TV after making a dvd, it cuts off alot of it (the overlying psd file not the video clip). I figure it has to do with the safe area thing or pixel ratio difference. Everything is at default (20%text and 10%action). Does my initial psd file have to be bigger (like 720×525)or does checking the box in “scale clips to project dimensions” take care of it. Also how do change the pixel ratio, Im assuming they must both be the same to get a wysiwyg input/output?

    thanks,
    Jack

In Photoshop, create a new blank document preset “NTSC DV 720 x 480 with guides”, Also select Transparent as the back ground. The open your other image and drag it into the new black psd. Then resize this added layer to fit inside the guides.
