  • Add or Edit Title and have to render

    Hello Forum Experts,

I am working with a sequence in FCP. It is a standard def NTSC sequence with some still images in the timeline. I have added some Boris FX title crawls, and some just plain titles (Boris and FCP). Every I add
a title or move it in the timeline, or change the style in properties, etc, I must re-render the title. If I place a cross-dissolve transition
on the in point or out point of the title (in the timeline), I have to re-render. Is this normal? It is kinda of a pain to have to render every time I edit a title.

I have my “RT” set for Safe RT. I have my files on a firewire raid device.

    Thanks for any info,

    Eric

What’s the computer? Set RT to Unlimited RT.

    All the best,

    Tom

    Tom,

I have a dual 2.8ghz G5 Intel quad core Desktop system.
That should be fast enough, no?

    Thanks,

I will set to Unlimited RT
