add markers with intervals
Posted by Nader Subaih on July 27, 2012 at 9:26 amHi, I am trying to add markers every two seconds on the timeline since i have a beat that repeats every two seconds and i am trying to sync video to it. is there an easy way to add markers with exact intervals rather than doing it manually?
thanks in advance.
I am using Pr CS6

July 28, 2012 at 9:28 amthanks Angelo, the key set marker is mapped to M key, and that is what i have been using, but my reaction time is not as precise as i would like. to me, it is much simpler than scripting, i want to essentially tell Pr to put marker every 2 seconds, which should be a breeze if the feature existed. there is something called extended marker, but that is no help either. are there any plug-ins that makes working with music easier?

July 28, 2012 at 9:47 amIf you have After Effects, you can use clip/timeline markers and I would imagine a Google search would reveal some scripts to automate it. After Effects also has some expression control for audio amplitude.
In After Effects, you can go to File > Export > Premiere project. The markers do come over to Premiere.
In Premiere, there are no plugins that do what you need to do. After speaking with a plugin developer about a different use for timeline markers, Adobe doesn’t allow plugins to add markers to clips or timelines.

October 20, 2020 at 4:36 amHere’s a quick tip. Put your first marker on the first two seconds of your timeline. Then cut a video clip and fit to it. Copy and paste the video clip (each clip is 2 seconds long) up to how many seconds you want. Then go back at the beginning of your timeline. You alternately press Arrow Down on your keyboard then M for the marker. This will mark your timeline every two seconds. 🙂 You’re welcome. God bless.
