    I can’t seem to add a keyframe.

    I’ve created a composition(10sec.
I added a solid layer with particle playground effect.

    Can someone please help me?

if a property is keyframeable, then it will have a stop watch icon next to it. click the stop watch and that will set the first key. to add any more keys, don’t hit the stopwatch, just go to the time that you want to change add the key, then edit the property’s value (if you hit the stop watch again, you’ll lose your keys, it is essentially a toggle to enable/disable animation for a property).

It doesn’t have a keyframe next to it.
    Why is that?

if there is no stopwatch icon, it means it is not a keyframeable property…

which property are you trying to animate in particle playground?

the only properties that i see that cannot be animated are the properties that define layer maps from dropdown menus… if you needed to have a layer map change at a certain point you would need to put each layer map into a comp, have the organize the layers to transition at the points that you need the layer map to change, then use that comp as the layer map for particle playground…

is that the problem? if so i may be able to explain it a bit better…

I got it working. Apparantly you have to click a arrow icon next to the layer and then some option appear. You can set keyframes next to all the options.

    Thanks for your answers.
