  • Add key frame without going to timeline?

I’m using the Record button to create some basic key frames for things like filters (gaussian blur, what else?) and I can’t figure out how to add a key frame without going into the key frame editor.

    I press the Record button.
I click on my photo and press the record button.
I move the playback head to about 10 frames into the image.
I adjust the gaussian blur to 0.
I need it to be 40 at the first frame.
Then 10 frames before the end of the photo, I need a key frame of 0 again.
Then put the blur at 40 at the end.

    This requires 4 key frames.

The Record button only gives me a key frame if I change something.

    Thanks!

This may or may not help, but when you are at the beginning of your timeline and press the record button, click on your object and wiggle it’s position. What I mean by wiggle is move it, then move it right back to where it was. Motion should create a keyframe even though nothing was changed.

That’s not optimal, but it will work.

    Thanks!

Use the animation menu to the right of each parameter in the inspector, there’s an Add Keyframe option there.
