  • Add Extra text layer to Title?

Ok – so this is my first FCPX project so finding my feet a bit ……

Just wondered if it’s possible to add another text layer to a Basic or Custom title? I just want to be able to move the text lines around separately. Presumably if not I can just stack up title tracks? Thanks in advance.

    Martin,

Stack them up as you like; Edit their parameters, if you wish/ need and then right click to form a compound clip for efficiency’s sake.

This might illustrate it in a simpler way: 5588_titles.png.zip

You can right-click the title and open it in Motion. Then you can add as many text fields as you want and save it as a new title. If it’s a one-off then stacking is not a bad idea. But, if you need to do it continually then making a custom title will save you time.
