add edit jumps to previous frame before cutting

August 10, 2017 at 10:20 amSo I receive sourcematerial from my client, 1 mxf or mov with a number of shots concatenated.
I go trough the clip, adding edits to seperate the shots. So I park my blue bar on the first frame of a new shot, hit the add-edit-button.
And then it depends: sometime this works, other times the blue bar jumps back a frame, and adds the edit there.Any idea how to avoid this?

MXF File details:
Wrapper type: MXF OP1a (type: SingleItem SinglePackage MultiTrack Stream Internal)
File generated by: AVID, TRMG (3.01)
MPEG-2 422 Long-GOPI’m betting it’s the long-GOP thing, isn’t it?
