  • Add color to the wiggle tranform operator?

Posted by Daniel Cruzado on July 8, 2011 at 7:41 pm

    Hi everyone.

I´m trying to make a “disco style” tile on the floor, where a rotobrushed character dances on.
I drew a simple square shape layer, then used the repeater operator twice to multiply it so it covers the whole floor area, then rotated in 3D space to make it match the camera angle.

Then I added a wiggle tranform operator so that the tiles all grow at different paces and times.

The thing is I want them all to be of a different color. I can make them all change their color colectively, but not individually.

Is there a way (maybe an expression?) to add color to the wiggle transform operator?

I don´t need to control each color individually, just to make them all of a different color randomly.

    Thanks in advance!

You can apply the “Fill” effect to the layers. And on the “color” apply your wiggle expression. I just tried it, and it works.

Thanks Bill! I just tried it, but that´s doing what I already did with the hue/saturation effect. It affects ALL tiles the same(they´re all in the same shape layer, remember it´s only one square shape with the repeater). I need something to make them all to change colors independently and randomly.

Did you ever solve this? I’m having the exact same issue….. 🙂 Anna

Nope. Sorry. Had to make them all the same color. In my case they were all floor tiles so I guess I could have masked them and duplicated them with different color settings. Cheers.
