Add a clip, my sequence moves! Disable?
Hey guys. Kind of an elementry question i never figured out.
Say i have a track of video, and i take clip, and place it in the track above track one. This will split the clip of video in track one to the ends of the clip in track 2.
The only way around this is place my clip in track 3. Then move down to track 2.
Seems like a dumb little quirk, is there anyway to disable the splitting of clips like that or no?
And its not all the time, only once ive gotten an amount of video going on in my sequence.

When you move the clip up, you see the arrow? If you hover n the top half of the track (the arrow is pointing right), you will perform an insert edit. If you drag the clip to the bottom half of track two, the arrow should be pointed down and you should perform an overwrite.
