adaptive details and gop length
I’m just tying out different settings at the moment.
I’m making a SD DVD from HDV.What dose adaptive details do? And is there an advantage in changing the gop length form 12 to 7 (IM working in PAL)
All my footage is HDV 1080i I’m using compressor 3.0.5

There’s a bunch of stuff on Adaptive details out on Google. Use it for DVD but not for web.
I wouldn’t mess with GOP for PAL unless you have a specific device that needs a GOP shorter than 12.
