Have been bringing in Media via ADA but it won’t let me export a quicktime reference for Sorensen even though I’ve transcoded the media to DNxHD 175. Please advise.

    AMA – Avid Media Access.

Are you sure you transcoded EVERYTHING? What is the error you receive when you try? That helps us pinpoint the issue.

Everything is transcoded. I now receive an error stating long GOP cannont be encoded with QT reference, encode a QT movie. I don’t want to encode a huge file from Avid to put into Sorensen. I really like the features of Sorensen 6 and would like to utilize.

[Ken Calcaterra] “I now receive an error stating long GOP cannont be encoded with QT reference, “

Then something hasn’t been transcoded. GOP can be HDV or XDCAM format. If you transcoded everything, you won’t get this error, as DNxHD isn’t GOP.

Might be one file that isn’t transcoded…

    Shane,

Everything is transcoded. To test I’ve put the sequence in a new bin and have transcoded again. Still having problems.

Tried to export an uncompressed/animation. I received an error stating temp disk is full. I moved this to another drive and I still receive the error. I simply renamed the new directory avid temp when I redirected.

Not sure how I can get this media off my drive. I need to get this to a client and am not sure how I can get this off my computer as I don’t have Mojo or a deck.

Try a video and audio mixdown of the sequence to a DNxHD resolution and see it that fixes it. Also, as a test, put the sequence in its own bin, set bin display to show hidden files and see if any of the clips are still listed as non DNxHD in the format column.
