Activation Key
I have put an older p6000 card into G5 Media 100i system. I have the serial number and activation key and when I enter the activation key I’m told the number is invalid. What do I need to do to make the system work with this p6000 card. (That I know works from another system).

The activation key is related to a software version; e.g. there is a key for V8.0 to 8.1.x, a key for 8.2,… I guess you simply use the wrong software for the key; most likely V8.2.3a when your key is only for 8.1.x

We had another P6000 die in our G5 which has 10.4 on it. We have an older Media 100i running on a G3 we no longer use. We put the card from the G3 in the G5. The G3 was running version 7.5 and I guess the key is from that version. Can we buy a key that will unlock the old P6000 to run in the G5 with version 8.2.2? Thanks for your help. Jim -

Yes you can. But not from me. 😉
You should get in touch with Media 100 sales, they can sell you an unlock key for 8.2.3 for your P6000 board.
