    Hi;

    I have been asked to capture an HD signal from a live event and quickly turn it into a DVD. I use Adobe Encore and will be situated in a mobile production truck.

    Do you think that any of the Blackmagic products would work for me in this regard?

    Thanks…………Dan

    If you are capturing HD and intend to burn a standard def DVD you will, of course, have to downconvert the file to SD. You will also need to produce an .m2v video file and an .ac3 audio file for DVD burning.

    This you should be able to accomplish within your Adobe Encore.

    If you are intent on burning a HD disk, you will need Blu-Ray authoring software

    Ever considered Sony Vegas? You could do worse….

    While you’re t it, could you please turn some water into wine. Another guy did that so I know it can be done.

    I think there’s a JVC DVD recorder that might do that. The DVD, not the wine thing.
