ack HDV issues
Hey guys
I’m trying to import Simple HDV off a pro-sumer (the sony 1080i one that matches that camera) HDV deck into FCP 5, and it is being super stubborn. I get it registering that the video is playing but no preview, and it won’t capture it. I tried it in IMOVIE as a last resort, because imovie isn’t so timecode picky, and it is doing the same bit.
any ideas before this deck goes out the window?

check the menu to see if the firewire out is set to downconvert instead of HDV out
G5 dual 2.5, 4.5 gigs ram:
