Achieving that 8mm look
Does anyone know of a good way via a plug-in or otherwise to get close to that 8mm film look from normal dv footage? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

2 notes. Actually make sure the posterize time is first in the stack. Also I was wrong about noise. More like 20 – 30 instead of 5ish.

I posted my preset. I’m sure you will have to modify the levels and sat a bit for your footage.
This is for AE 6.5. Select your layer. Go to the Animation Menu. select APply animation preset and select this preset.
