I have to export a spot for broadcast from FCP and would like to deliver digitally. The specs I have received are as follows:

    720×480
    4:3
    29.97 frame rate
    6Mb min bit rate
    48Khz audio

They can accept Quicktime, Mpeg2 or AVI files. Also, they request if exporting a Quicktime to use the H.264 compression to encode and the highest quality two pass setting.

I usually deliver on tape but can cut out a substantial cost in this case if I deliver spots digitally. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’ve tried a number of things over the past 24 hours and have not achieved the right combination yet.

    Thanks in advance…

It sounds like your settings are pretty clearly mapped out, you should be able to get a decent H264 QT from QuickTime Pro, otherwise use Episode.

    Have a wonderful day.
