I have two cameras, a DVX100B, and a Canon GL2. I want to video several minutes with each camera taping the same scene, and also filming in different light situations, to compare the difference in color & quality. How can I do it in Vegas where I can have a split screen, with both cameras on the same screen, side by side, to better compare the differences?
    Thanks

Put each video on it’s own track and then use either Pan/Crop or Track Motion to shrink them down to the required size and place them in an appropriate position.

I wouldn’t use Pan/Crop; it messes with resolution. Track Motion is the answer.
My “fast” method? Two vid tracks. Cookie Cutter on top track, set to half screen. Track motion used to squeeze vids to fit in respective spaces.
There are at least a dozen methods I can immediately think of to achieve this, but Cookie Cutter/Track Motion is fast, clean, and easy, IMO.
