Accurate audio re-speeding in Audition / Premiere Pro
Hello Creative Cow Crew!
Long time fan – first time posting. ☺
I need to do a lot of re-speeding of audio where we have foreign language overdubs for TV shows that have come from a 23.98fps source and I need to re-speed the audio files to sync them up with a 25fps video source.
Our previous workflow used Sample Manager to do this, and it mostly worked very well. But now we need to use Premiere Pro or Audition instead. The re-speeding will obviously be the same % increase every time – so I’m really just looking for a robust and reliable approach using Premiere or Audition to do this.
Can anyone recommend a simple / tried and tested method for performing good quality re-speeding of this type?
I have tried using the rate tool in the Premiere Pro timeline but that seems to give me crappy results that sound out of phase.
Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Cheers
Matt
