    Hi Guys,

since a few weeks I´ve got some problems with my Sony Vegas Pro 8, sometimes during the cutting itself and especially while rendering files.

    So heres rhe error message:

The errors appear randomly, not when I´m creating a special effect or sth. like that.. So although I´ve already tried a lot, I have no idea what they´re caused of. It sometimes even happens that Im able to edit a whole video without any problems, no matter how long or in which format I render it.

Has anybody already had a problem like that, and does someone know what to do?

    Greets,
Johannes (German Name, english translation is John ;-))
Btw, I use a Panasonic NV GS 120 Mini DV Camcorder and Windows Vista.

Everything after “(access violation)” is useless except to the original programmer.

This means that something (usually an old driver) is trying to write to memory that another application (probably Vegas) has marked as “in use”.

If you are using Norton Antivirus, then that would be my first suspicion.
